 As with most sports teams, the Cole Harbour Hurricanes is no different when it comes to needing funds to maintain AND enhance a very successful children's fitness program. In keeping with our mandate to ensure we remain all-inclusive, we try to charge the minimum in registration and recoup in other ways.
Thanks to some very enterprising and hard-working families, the Hurricanes have held several very successful fundraisers and not only raised the required funds but allowed our team families to get to know each other a little better. Stay tuned for a complete listing of all our events - and LOTS more photos - since the team's inception in 2004!

 After the swimming and the land training and the bottle-collecting, our very hungry Hurricanes gathered one Saturday morning to raise funds for their team by flipping pancakes and serving breakfast to busy grocery store customers at a Sobeys in Dartmouth.
Many thanks to our adult volunteers for manning the spatula, and many thanks as well to our athletes for helping with signs, ticket sales, serving ... and eating ... LOTS of eating!
And, thank you to Sobeys for generously donating the food and supplies for the event.

Selling Hotdogs With The Kid |

 The Hurricanes had a great time selling hotdogs to raise money for their team while hockey great Sidney Crosby signed autographs.
The athletes presented Sidney with a Hurricanes T-shirt and a honourary membership to the team - just in case the hockey thing didn’t work out!
