The Cole Harbour Hurricanes is a children's summer competitive swim team with a focus on fitness, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

The competitive swimming component is used as a way of measuring our athletes' progress over the course of each season.

Created just after Hurricane Juan, the Hurricanes began life with much less force - a very small group of children and their families. As Hurricanes do, we grew in intensity and have more than doubled in numbers.

On the eve of Hurricane Bill in August 2009, we became the Nova Scotia Summer Provincial Champions.
